Giving a gift is always a blessing. For the person giving and the person receiving.
But what if we could give more than just a gift ... a lifestyle as well!
Our reusable items are perhaps our favourite (and most popular) edit in store.
From water bottles to coffee cups. Lunch carries to shopping totes. Our community is increasingly becoming aware of the unnecessary existence (and wild environmental damage) of single use items.
We've followed the conversation of Bae Johnson of Zero Waste Home
for some time now. What an inspiration for simplistic - yet very stylish - waste free living. The goal of producing only a small jar of annual (yes, annual) trash may still be on the vision board but we love the idea of introducing small changes weekly or monthly to move towards this ideal.
Many of our in store designers also bring great inspiration.
With the goal of reducing waste and positively impacting on the environment at the centre of their business vision – they bring examples (and are pioneering the way) for what is possible in business for our new millennium.
Sarah Krauss, Founder of S'well Bottle || "In 2010, I launched S’well with the mission to rid the world of plastic water bottles. I believed that if we made a crave-worthy bottle that combined fashion with function, people would stop buying disposable bottles and we could reduce single-use plastic consumption worldwide. I’m also incredibly proud to partner with UNICEF and many other important charities. Not only do our bottles work great, they also help accomplish great work."
Benjamin Young, Founder of Frank Green || "First things first: Frank Green isn’t a person, it’s a philosophy. We all want to do better by our planet. We know how bad single-use coffee cups, water bottles and plastics are for the environment. We’re also passionate about something well-designed, stylish, and really convenient. In as little as 15 uses, you’ll offset the environmental impact it took to create your Frank Green."
Marnie Goding, Founder of Elk The Label || "We support and use circular design principles. Key to this is ensuring that our products are well made and durable, as well as repairable so that they can be worn and enjoyed for many years. We are also increasing our use of recycled, recyclable and certified sustainable materials and trims, and our goal is to use 100% environmentally preferred materials by 2025."
