Today is the 3rd of January. You may be easing back into work mode or ... NOT. Hopefully you're reading this beachside ... with sand on your toes, water in your view & all the good vibe music on your play list.

What does it mean to you to ADVENTURE?
"For my family and I, adventuring means heading off the beaten track. Whether it’s 10 minutes from home or a flight away, an adventure for us is taking a turn on to a road we’ve never been down before and following it to see what we can find. Our kids love it when we explore with no map and no destination in mind – just taking a chance and seeing where we end up!"
How would you describe your Summer in Australia?
"Laid back when it can be. But also very busy!! Summer for MAYDE is a crazy time as you would expect so I guess in a word, I’d have to say our Summer Lifestyle is “balanced” – a bit of fun and adventure, mixed with a bit of work and a bit of down time."
What are your Adventure plans this Summer?
"We have the whole family visiting us over Christmas, so it’ll be a bit of a madhouse! But we can’t wait – we’re planning on taking everyone to the Currumbin rock pools, Stradbroke Island, our beautiful beaches and eating copious amounts of food in between (bring on the food coma). The rest of Summer will be spent by the water and trying to stay cool!"
#GiftDwell – thoughts on meaningful gifting …
"I often feel gifting at Christmas can become overwhelming – these days, I much prefer to buy 1 or 2 really thoughtful gifts (especially for the kids) than buying way too many toys or useless items. We consume so many products in a year that we often don’t give a second thought to, so it really is nice to receive something that you just love instantly and know you’ll keep or use for weeks/months/years to come. Also – shopping locally! I will try with all my might to support local brands and stores buy purchasing unique gifts from them, before going to a giant department store."
What’s in your beach bag?
"A MAYDE towel of course!! Apart from that, Feel Good Inc sunscreen, lots of water, a beach brolly and a ton of food for my (always starving) kids, haha. Perhaps a sneaky vino if it’s an arvo by the beach."
